The Court case of the three (3) suspects in the Mashau family murder case was held in the Pretoria North Magistrates court today(12 August 2010).
The Community gathered outside the court to protest against the high levels of crime, violent murders and rapes in South Africa and also to support the victims of crime.
The DA handed a Protest Memorandum against crime to the SAPS and the Magistrates Court to show how the residents feel about crime.
It was suggested that the City establish a new unit that looks into violent crimes and rape as well as the moral decay in our society.
(The court case was postponed to 19 August 2010 when the accused will apply for bail)
